Local story - Crewe Police |
||
|
Good morning,
Recently we applied for a funding grant for a local resident who has sadly lost their partner. Not only are they now bereaved, but we had seen how they had supported their partner through the depths of Dementia, always being there for them every step of the way. We were invited into their lives, through missing person calls and reassurance visits, and saw the commitment that this wife gave to her husband each day. It was love in it's purest form.
An idea that we have put forward for some of the funding is a QR code for her loved ones grave to tell his story. We have been lucky enough to hear of the many wonderful times that they have shared together, and know just how well loved and thought of this couple is in the community. This way, their story could live on for everyone to remember their time shared together. We know for certain that the stories that we have been told will be passed on to our loved for generations to come. We've sat and enjoyed many chuckles after reminiscing over funny stories together, the stories that have no doubt pulled her through the darkest days.
The funding that we applied for was called the 'Festive Fund', and we thought, what a better way to show someone how cared about they are over the festive period than applying on their behalf.
